Background: Elevated plasma concentrations of apoB-lipoproteins (i.e. hyperapoB) is an independent predictor of type 2 diabetes (T2D) in humans; however underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Chronic reduction in the function of white adipose tissue (WAT) promotes T2D.
